If you’re looking for a great day out in the Slough area, try one of these brilliant, fun filled, family friendly suggestions!
Nets Kingdom
Set in Black Park, Nets Kingdom is a brilliant way to spend a couple of hours. Parents can either join the kids in the nets or watch from below.
They also have a traditional GoApe if you’d rather that!
Black Park is also a great place to explore at any time of year. There’s a big park suitable for kids up to around age 10 and a large cafe as well as lots of lovely walks and a big forest area to explore.
Coral Reef Waterworld
If you’re looking for some indoor, wet fun, Coral Reef Waterworld in Bracknell is a great afternoon out. There is a large swimming pool with a pirate ship children can climb on and spray other unspecting swimmers, as well as an erupting volcano, bubbly pool and several water slides. There’s even a spa area for the grown ups!
Just over the road is The Lookout where you can find goApe, a huge play area and mini science museum.
Legoland
Legoland Windsor is always a fun day out for the whole family. There are rides for all ages ( although not too much suitable for older teens ) and a huge area for younger children with a mini rollercoaster, train, playground and splash zone.
The pirate show is always a big hit with my kids too!
We especially love Christmas at Legoland, which is full of twinkly lights, festive rides and a wonderful Santa!
Cliveden – National Trust
One of my favourite summer day trips with the kids is a day at Cliveden. This beautiful National trust property has a maze, play area and even a river to walk along.
There are a couple of great cafes too, so it’s the perfect place to meet with friends or family.
Salt Hill Activity Centre
Salt Hill Activity Centre has something for everyone. There’s tenpin bowling, a trampoline park, caving, soft play and even a high ropes area!
Can you recommend any other great places to take the kids near Slough?
