I keep losing my baby, obviously not for long, that would be very irresponsible, but I turn my back for one second and she disappears, leaving me to run from room to room shouting her name. Inevitably I find her hidden under a table or the sofa chewing on something not meant to be chewed. All those lovely wooden, non toxic toys I bought now languish in a toy box, abandoned for wires and plugs. My lovely stationary baby has turned into a speed crawler, she’s also a very good hoover, finding hundreds of tiny little specks of biscuits or fluff wherever she goes.
Then there’s the tiny little toys that seem to seep put of the playroom or bedrooms and my eagle eyed baby is not one to miss a tiny play mobil pirate coin ( yes thank you who ever bought Z the pirate set for his birthday ) or little bits of lego that can be found in every room of the house despite the promises that they wouldn’t ever come out of his room, and don’t get me started on hair clips, or the sequin disaster of last week.
How can I baby proof a house that has two anti baby proofers in it?
I probably shouldn’t mention that little S fed Baby H one of her honey nut shredded wheats the other day ( did you know they are really low in salt), anyway turns out Baby H is not allergic to peanuts. Thats a good thing to accidentally find out right?

It doesn’t get any easier either. MC went in my handbag today and emptied all the coins out of my purse (some £6 something) into all her toy pots an pans. I didn’t know this and went to pay the window cleaner. Took me ages before she finally told me where she’d hidden them.

Ha ha…thats funny! They are monkeys aren’t they? xx

Hehe I love this post- mads is starting to get around the room by rolling everywhere and she also eats and chews everything in sight! Sounds like it’s just going to get worse! X

And to think about how much we protect the first one when they arrive! My eldest had such a different experience to my youngest now. It’s only when we got to the third one (who looks delicate but is nails) when we realised how tough they are!
mummymummymum
i know. We are the same. I would have been absolutely horrified if someone else’s child had been as rough with my eldest when he was a baby as my two are with baby H. 🙂

That sounds just like my LO! She has a whole box of toys but all she wants to do is tug on wires or play with the remote! Yesterday I caught her her chewing on something, after managing to prise her mouth open to take a look, I found the corner of a chocolate bar wrapper in there, it took me ages to get it out, glad she didn’t swallow it though. Such had work! X
mummymummymum
oh no. I’m glad you got it out. I’d forgotten what a hard age it is…or maybe just hard when theres more than one to watch 🙂

Ha. I share you pain. Bb likes to shuffle to top of stairs and I fear my reluctance to use stair gates will bite me one day soon ….
mummymummymum
we have a house full of stair gates 🙂

Love that last picture! I remember those days, and we also have the playmobil pirate set. I have confiscated the coins so 4 year old can actually appreciate playing with them one day instead of losing them all in 20 minutes or so! Emma 🙂
mummymummymum
they are so small aren’t they. Poor boy only has a little rowing boat and a treasure chest 🙂

I totally understand where you are coming from! I learned the hard way that the twins can open the front door! Half way the street they got! Scared the life out of me. x
mummymummymum
Oh no! I remember that. Little monkeys! x
