A letter came through my door today telling me that my 5 year ‘career break’ from my previous career is coming to an end, I have three months to apply for a job with my old company should I want to. I don’t. I can’t imagine returning to work in London or even from home for a large company. I feel lucky that I’ve managed to forge a new career, one that allows me to be at home, to help in school, to pick my kids up from school. I feel lucky that we have manage to cope on my reduced wage and that I have had the opportunity to create something I am proud of, something I love, something I am passionate about, but it also feels time for a change, time to take it to the next level, time to be brave, to push myself out of my comfort zone, to go the whole hog.
If you don’t know what on earth I am talking about check out Science Sparks.

You should be really proud of what you have achieved it is really amazing. I have just gone back to work this year in a different role as working from home wasn’t for me but if you can make it work, it is the best job when your family are young.
