Life with four busy children is pretty hectic and although we try and eat a healthy diet it hasn’t been very varied recently. We’ve been stuck in a rut of the same recipes and meals for months now. My food shop is usually a rushed affair where I intend to organise myself and find new recipes to try, but instead end up buying the same foods every week.
Last Friday Heck sent us samples of their new seasoned chicken mince, which was brilliant as it meant we managed THREE new meals without much effort at all.
I’ve been trying to cut down on red meat so fresh chicken mince is brilliant as it means we can still eat easy meals like chilli and lasagne, but with chicken instead of beef mince. Chicken mince is lean, healthy and a great source of protein, so perfect for growing children. HECK chicken mince is even better as it’s beautifully seasoned and ready to go. It really couldn’t be easier to cook with.
The Chicken Italia, Simply Chicken and Spring Chicken flavours are all gluten-free, high protein, low carb and just 3% fat per 100g!
We made chicken burgers, chicken spaghetti bolognese and chicken mince sandwiches.
Just one 500g ( £3.50 ) pack of chicken mince made enough burgers to feed all 6 of us, which is pretty impressive!

Big thanks to HECK for the samples. I’ll definitely be buying them again.

I’ve never tried chicken mince before, it sounds like it makes a great alternative to beef,

I’ve seen this brand, they make chicken sausages as well. I will try chicken mince as my husband doesn’t eat red meat
