If you’re looking for Easter egg hunts and other activity ideas for the Easter holidays, I can help! There’s a lot going on in Hampshire and Surrey, but it pays to be organised as things can get booked up over the Easter weekend.
National Trust Easter Egg Hunts
Winkfield Arboretum
Winkfield Arboretum is lovely to walk around at any time of year, but when the daffodils, blossoms and bluebells are blooming, it’s even more special.
The egg hunt is £3 per child and consists of 10 stations dotted around the arboretum with activities at each one. Our favourite was definitely the duck and spoon race!
Easter egg hunts are also running at Claremont, The Vyne and Hinton Ampner.
Hatchlands Park and Hindhead commons all have Easter trails running, and Box Hill has an egg-rolling activity.
Please check the National Trust website for dates, times and current availability.
West Green House and Gardens
West Green House and Gardens have special easter events running from the 7th -10th of April, including a petting zoo and bunny hunt. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
We haven’t tried the Easter events, but Halloween and Christmas are always special, and the grounds are beautiful.
RHS Wisley
The giant egg hunt at Wisley looks amazing! There are also arts and crafts and seed planting sessions running over the Easter holiday period.
Wisley also has a great park for younger children and lots of space to run and walk around.
Watercress Line
Take a ride on a steam train and take part in Easter crafts and activities on the Watercress Line.
