An Easter egg hunt is a great way to get outdoors, spend time as a family, or meet up with friends. As usual, Hampshire has a great offering of egg hunts up and down the county.
National Trust Easter Egg Hunts
The Vyne
The Vyne in Basingstoke is one of our favourite egg hunt locations. This year, there’s an athletics-themed trail with ten outdoor activity stations, including an egg and spoon race and long jump. The trail runs from March 23rd to April 14th. There’s a £3 charge on top of the usual admission fee, but the trail map includes a chocolate Easter egg.
Hinton Ampner
Hinton Ampenr has a great Easter bunny trail with a chocolate prize! This is running from March 29th to April 14th.
Hindhead Punch Bowl
The Punch Bowl is a beautiful National Trust site with fantastic views over Hindhead Commons. This year, the Easter Trail runs from March 29th to April 14th.
Mottisfont
The Mottisfont trail sounds like great fun with a village fair theme. There’s welly wanting, bunny bowling and lots more!
Milestones Museum, Basingstoke
Help Bun and Ted save Easter at Milestones Museum. The challenge runs from March 29th to April 14th. There are eggs to find around the museum and free Easter crafts, too.
Winchester Science Centre
Winchester Science Centre’s Boom and Bloom event runs until the 15 April. As well as the usual exhibits, there’s an Easter Eggstravaganza with a chocolate prize.
Highclere Castle
Highclere Castle has a special Easter Egg hunt running on the 6th of April. There’s an Easter bonnet parade, farm animals and bouncy slide!
Gilbert White’s House and Gardens
Gilbert White’s House and Gardens has a brilliant record breaking birds egg hunt and beautiful grounds to explore.
