Welcome to the last post in this run of Around the World in 12 Dishes. We will be continuing with our adventure next month and for the rest of the year, so please do pop back.
For Austria we made Schnitzel, I think its more traditional to use pork or veal, but to keep it simple I used chicken.
Ingredients
Chicken
Breadcrumbs
1 egg, whisked
A sprinkle of paprika
Flour
Oil
Method
Chop the chicken into strips.
Dip in the flour, then the egg and finally the breadcrumbs mixed with the paprika.
Fry on each side until cooked.
I didn’t manage to get any photo’s but the children loved making the breadcrumbs and loved eating the chicken even more.
Or if you’d rather something a little sweeter how about these Linzer Augen biscuits from Red Ted Art?

We made them too! With Alex’s mom who was raised in Austria. They are good aren’t they? Thanks for participating again.
