Bank Holiday Fun

Published: May 7, 2013 by admin · This post may contain affiliate links or collaborative content.

The last few weeks since we got back from our holiday have been manic, by the time I’d unpacked and sorted out the clothes, Z was back at school and then last weekend we had a long overdue trip to see friends and this weekend we had family staying. Last night I was relieved and very happy that we had  a whole other day off today.

The kids have been waking up EARLY recently, I think I need to buy a blackout blind for Z’s room. On Sunday, by 630am he had already written a short story downstairs without anyone realising. I was up and making breakfast at 730, bleary eyed and in need of coffee, by 830 my patience was already wearing thin  so we woke up Daddy and headed off to the park.

We played on the swings, had some scooter races, walked around the woods and collected as many pine cones and sticks as we could fit in our bag. Back at home we made a potion with some of our finds, and the girls added sticks to play doh to make little animals. It was the perfect way to spend a lazy bank holiday afternoon.

All around us the neighbours were having BBQ’s, Z was very jealous of the yummy sausage and burger smell,Summer seems to be on it’s way at last!

All in all it was a great day, although Daddy was full of a cold and wishing he was watching freeview instead. Fingers crossed he feels much better soon.

How did you spend your bank holiday?

We also had a really lazy day and I loved it. I can’t wait to have more of them this summer once I’ve moved. Mich x

Love your photos – we had a lazy wander to the Park over the Bank Holiday. We decided trying to go anywhere would just be too rammed!
