I have to admit a summer of football on the TV doesn’t thrill me with joy. When I was growing up my parents only really watched England matches and now even though my son is football crazy he’s more into playing than watching, and lets face it 90 minutes is a LONG time to watch something that you don’t find hugely entertaining. I will of course be cheering England on, possibly even keeping track of how they do and watching the highlights.
Luckily for me, TV isn’t all there is on offer this summer. I have lots of big plans for the kids and I, one of which is a trip to the theatre. We haven’t taken the kids yet, because I didn’t think they were old enough, but I think this year we’ll finally do it, especially after watching this clip from Theatre People who teamed up with a host of West End stars including the casts of The Commitments, Once, The 39 Steps, Mamma Mia! and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels stars Robert Lindsay and John Marquez to show that there’s more talent out there this summer than just football.
Which show is top of your list to see?
